Preliminary results indicate that Massoud Barzani got only 30 percent of the presidential vote in Sulaimani. Apparently, that fact induced him to extend his rampage against Change to the rebellious south itself. With the PUK crippled and supine and corrupt, Change and the other opposition parties are the only forces left standing in the way of the awful, presidentialist, Barzani constitution still awaiting confirmation. Let's hope they can successfully stand up for democracy in Kurdistan.
