Closing Dates

The Weekly Standard is published every Friday during the year with the exception of four combined issues.

All space and copy closing dates are four days prior to the on-sale date.

Cancellation Policy

The Weekly Standard cannot honor cancellations of space order received after Wednesday 5:00 p.m. of the week of publication.

Mechanical Requirements - Print

All color files must be CMYK format, with no RGB, LAB, or index-color elements, and must be at least 300 dpi (or pixels per inch). JPEG compression is not supported and should not be used in any elements. Images from websites that have been "up-res-ed" artificially to 300 dpi will be unprintable. Submitted PDFs should be pre-scanned for incorrect color, unsupported image resolution, or the presence of OPI or ICC tags.

Ad Dimensions: 300 x 250 IMU
File Size: 40k maximum
File Format: GIF, animated GIF, JPG, or Flash file with embedded URL
Resolution: 72 dpi minimum resolution
Animation: Animated GIFs can rotate through no more than 3 screens; must go to idle on a static 3rd screen; 15 second animation limit
Linking: Include complete URL for hyperlinking
Alternate Text: Provide Alt Text for non-HTML users.
Half Page
Ad Dimensions: 300 x 600 IMU
File Size: 40k maximum

Headline: Maximum of 50 characters with spaces
