Sorry, you've reached the limit on the articles you can view.
Following the lead of populist insurgent Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton emerged from her Secret Service Mystery Machine to join the picket line of telecom giant Verizon.
According to Salon.com, Clinton has accepted Verizon money for paid speeches ($225,000), money for the Clinton Foundation from Verizon ($100,000 to $250,000), and campaign donations from a number of Verizon executives.
The Verizon strike is being conducted by the Communications Workers of America over pension benefits and outsourcing of work to contractors.
One might expect union workers to bristle at Hillary's change of heart, given her Verizon C-Suite ties. But she was welcomed with open arms, and hugs, by Verizon's East Coast employees (who, according to Verizon, pull in an average of $130,000 in salary and benefits per year.)
