Christine O'Donnell's new ad says that Mike Castle is "for" "keeping Obamacare and cuts in Medicare":

In fact, Castle voted against Obamacare, and he is a co-sponsor of the bill to repeal Obamacare and replace it with other reforms (among the other co-sponsors of the bill is conservative stalwart Mike Pence of Indiana).

The citation used in the O'Donnell ad is a March 25 article that quotes Castle as saying: "While this president is in office, repealing this full law is not realistic and not the best use of our efforts." The first part of Castle's statement is indisputably true, while the latter part is debatable. Many Republicans think that continuing to force Democrats to vote on Obamacare will help pave the way for its ultimate repeal. I'd be happy to report on Castle's current thinking on health care legislation, but his campaign has refused to grant an interview to THE WEEKLY STANDARD and apparently has no interest of doing so before the primary next Tuesday. Meanwhile, Jim Geraghty notes that some prominent conservatives are mistaken about parts of Castle's record.
