The chairman of the House Oversight Committee, Darrell Issa, blasted President Obama for failing to run a transparent administration in a radio interview earlier today with Laura Ingraham.

"This is not about the president, per se, or the attorney general or Secretary Chu. This is about an administration that has been anything but transparent. The imperial administration--the imperial president is what we're dealing with," Issa said.

Issa, as chairman of the Oversight Committee, has been fighting a long battle with the Obama administration over the Fast & Furious gun running scandal. Issa wants more information on what the Obama administration did, while President Obama has invoked executive privilege to avoid having his attorney general, Eric Holder, release all the documents related to the scandal released to the committee.

In the interview, Issa accused the Obama administration of strong-arming their political opponents.

"They don't want anyone getting in the way of what they want to do. If they can't do it legislatively, they will do it through executive order. If they can't get a regulation passed, they'll produce guidance and basically hurt people--'crucify,' to use one former EPA employee's words--in order to get what they want," Issa said.

"So, that's what the American people have to be afraid of. A lack of transparency, and a lack of playing by the rules, and an imperial attitude that has been growing under multiple presidents. This president has taken it to a level that should scare every American."
