Now that the 6-foot-7, 330-pound former Eagles offensive tackle Jon Runyan has been elected to Congress, it's worth contemplating how the leadership can best make use of him. Although the party whip is responsible for helping corral votes on key legislation, Eric Cantor may want to consider bringing Runyan along when it comes to convincing members who are on the fence. It would be unfortunate, say, if a Republican bucking the leadership should find himself walking the halls of Rayburn and suddenly suffer an illegal block in the back or get chop-blocked or clipped. That would really hurt.
Runyan could serve as the new House majority enforcer. Seriously, how could you say no to this guy?
