Indiana senator Dick Lugar is out with a new television ad, the hardest hitting in the Republican primary race, pitting Lugar against state treasurer Richard Mourdock. The ad claims that Mourdock has "bad judgment" and makes "bad decisions." Watch the ad below:
The ad represents a change in Lugar's campaign tactics in the final week before the May 8 primary. Lugar's previous television and radio ads had focused on positive testimonials from the likes of John McCain and Mitch Daniels.
Update: On MSNBC this morning, Mourdock responded to the ad's claim that as state treasurer, he "gambled Hoosier pensions" on junk bonds. Watch that video below:
