First time claims rose to 344,000 last week, highest in nine weeks. Economists were expecting 320,000. Yesterday, stalled GDP growth in the 1st quarter was widely blamed on the weather. This big, disappointing miss is being explained, according to Michelle Jamrisko of Bloomberg, as having something to do with:
