The bigger and more bewildering the legislation, the better for the Lords and Ladies of K Street. So as Megan R. Wilson of The Hill reports:
ObamaCare has become big business for an elite network of Washington lobbyists and consultants who helped shape the law from the inside. More than 30 former administration officials, lawmakers and congressional staffers who worked on the healthcare law have set up shop on K Street since 2010.
Perhaps, one thinks, the whole thing was never about health care and "keep you own doctor etc." in the first place. Maybe it was simply another (cushy) jobs and (easy) money for Washington program and, as such, has already been a smashing success.
