The WEEKLY STANDARD podcast with frequent contributor Adam J. White on the so-called "nuclear option" used today in the United States Senate by Majority Leader Harry Reid on judicial nominees that were awaiting an advise and consent vote by the Senate.
Last August, White wrote about the D.C. Circuit's special place in American government; and in January, shortly after the Inauguration, he wrote that the Obama administration would see judicial nominations as a way to help further the administration's regulatory agenda.
Earlier this week, White responded to arguments in the Des Moines Register that Senator Grassley and other senators "owe" all judicial nominations an up-or-down vote.
