Earlier this week Michelle Obama hosted a group of children at the White House for the annual "Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day."

One precocious little girl, 10-year-old Charlotte Bell, used the opportunity to give her father's resume to the first lady. See the video here around the 17:24 mark. From ABC News:

'My dad’s been out of a job for three years and I wanted to give you his resume,' said the girl, who the Associated Press identified as 10-year-old Charlotte Bell.

'Oh my goodness,' murmured Mrs. Obama as she wrapped the little girl in a hug.

'Well, it’s a little private, but she’s doing something for her dad, right?' the first lady said to the audience, children of Executive Office employees.

'Got it,' she said to Charlotte, brandishing the resume.

Apparently, her parents were unaware that their daughter was going to make such a bold move:

Charlotte's family had joked over the weekend about making a job pitch to the first lady, but her parents didn't know she would give it a try, according to her mother, an executive branch employee who did not want to be identified.

But the most ironic part is that Charlotte's father worked on Obama's re-election bid. According to the AP:

Charlotte's father, Ben Bell, has been looking for a policy job for more than two years and recently has been trying to get a job with the Obama administration. He worked on the Obama campaign in 2012.

So much for hope and change.
