Daniel Catán’s Il Postino opened the Los Angeles Opera's 25th-anniversary season last fall and was an immediate hit. Sadly, the composer died unexpectedly a few months later. The company, including Plácido Domingo, who starred as Pablo Neruda in the opera, paid tribute to him this week.
