Senior writer Jonathan Last appeared with Pat Robertson on the 700 Club to talk about his new book, What to Expect When No One's Expecting. From CBN.com:

Last warns that unless we change our views about the value of raising children, America faces a bleak future.

"A couple of things happen when you stay below that replacement level for a few generations," he said. "The first is that your age profile inverts so you wind up with many more old people than you have young people."

"Then this presents a whole host of problems," he continued. "It makes your entitlement programs like Social Security and Medicare highly unstable."

Disease, war, and economic collapse are all on the horizon as the fertility rate plummets and our population declines.
