A campaign spokesman for President Barack Obama suggested this morning on national television that there are no plans for the president to update the nation on what happened in Libya:

"I want to be clear on this," Fox News host Bill Hemmer said. "There is no plan right now for President Obama to tell the American people what happened."

Spokesman Ben LaBolt did not dispute Hemmer's statement, he only evaded the questioning. "The administration will constantly update the American people as soon as new information is known," said LaBolt. "The director of the National Counterterrorism Center, who is collecting all the intelligence, briefed the Senate and the American people yesterday on the information we have at this time. As soon as additional information is available there will be an update."

LaBolt's comments come just as the administration's story of what happened in Libya begins to fall apart.
