Tom Cotton, a Republican candidate for Congress in Arkansas's Fourth Congressional District, raised over $350,000 in the first quarter of fundraising, his campaign announced today. Cotton, who is running for the seat held by retiring Democrat Mike Ross, squares off with fellow Republican candidates in the Arkansas primary on May 22. His chief primary opponent is Beth Anne Rankin, a former Miss Arkansas and an unsuccessful House candidate in 2010. ![]() An Army veteran of Iraq and a graduate of Harvard Law School, Cotton has already begun airing TV ads in the district ahead of the primary.
