Democratic Congressional Candidate Gwen Graham Backs Keep Your Health Plan Act

Gwen Graham, a Democratic candidate challenging Florida GOP congressman Steve Southerland, tells THE WEEKLY STANDARD that she backs the Keep Your Health Plan Act.
"If in Congress today, I would support the Keep Your Health Plan Act," Graham said in a statement. "It is an issue of fairness and the right thing to do. People were promised that they could keep their health care plan, if they liked it. That promise should be kept. My commitment to the people of North Florida is to keep the promises I make. The President should keep his."
But other Democratic candidates running for Congress in some of the most competitive Republican districts are refusing to say if they would vote for or against the Keep Your Health Plan Act.
Michael Eggman (CA-10), Andrew Romanoff (CO-06), Staci Appel (IA-03), Ann Callis (IL-13), Jerry Cannon (MI-01), Erin Bilbray (NV-03), Dominic Recchia (NY-11), Martha Robertson (NY-23), Sean Eldridge (NY-19), and Kevin Strouse (PA-08) did not reply to a request for comment.
The bill, which is scheduled for a vote on Friday in the House, would allow individual plans that were on the market in 2013 to be extended, or “grandfathered,” into next year, for both new and existing customers.
