Charlotte The White House may be upset with Wasserman Schultz, but when the convention kicked off earlier this week she reminded everyone she has her job thanks to just one man: Barack Obama. “I'm proud that [President Obama] asked me to chair the Democratic National Committee,” Wasserman Schultz told the DNC's Faith Caucus on Monday. “My parents instilled in me the values of the Jewish community,” Wasserman Schultz told the small crowd. These values--including "repairing the world" and performing "acts of loving kindness"--are the "kinds of policies that Barack Obama has lived every single day of his life, first as community organizer and now as president of the United States of America,” she said, adding that Obama is the "natural political choice for the faith community." After a series of fumbles this week by Wasserman Schultz, one has to wonder how "proud" Obama is of his hand-picked DNC chair. The Weekly Standard ArchivesBrowse 15 Years of the Weekly Standard
