The votes are coming in, and things look good for Scott Brown. First thought: Will Democrats want to campaign alongside President Obama this fall if the chief executive does not move to the middle? Obama campaigned for Creigh Deeds. Deeds lost. Obama campaigned for Jon Corzine. Corzine lost. Obama campaigned for Coakley. Coakley is running behind Brown by a 7-point margin with 60 percent of the vote in. Obama has argued passionately for the health care bill. The health care bill remains unpopular. Just how persuasive is the supposed greatest orator of our time? Not very.
