Flashback: Landrieu Said People Who Like Their Coverage Can Keep it Under Obamacare

In December 2009, Louisiana Democrat Mary Landrieu assured Americans that the Obamacare legislation being debated in Congress would not affect those who like their plans. Watch the video of her speech on the floor of the Senate:
“While those individuals who like the coverage they already have will be able to keep their current plan," said Landrieu at the time. "This is a very accurate description of this bill before us."
But now that Obamacare is being implemented, many Americans are finding out they won't be able to keep their insurance plans, even if they like them, because of the law's regulations. And Landrieu is now qualifying the promises she and other Democrats, including President Obama, made with regard to this. Here's what she told THE WEEKLY STANDARD on Tuesday:
Landrieu is up for reelection next year.
