Giannoulias Would Be A Disaster For Taxpayers

Embattled Illinois Senate candidate’s jobs plan would add $200 billion to the debt.

Giannoulias must not realize that the proposed tax increases on U.S. exporters operating overseas would net $200 billion over 10 years – not just one. Giannoulias is proposing spending at least $227 billion in one year with an offset of only $20 billion per year.  That means if he had his way, the U.S. debt would increase over $200 billion in the first year alone.

Giannoulias’s website claims: “Every proposal outlined by Alexi includes a counter-part offset to ensure that it is deficit neutral.”  Right.  And the economy brought down Broadway Bank – not risky loans to mobsters and political crooks like Tony Rezko.
