In case you haven't already seen it, here's video of Gordon Brown's big gaffe that's making waves in the UK election:

New York Times:

On the tape, Mr. Brown can be heard saying to an unseen aide, after having stepped into his car: “That was a disaster. You should never have put me with that woman. Whose idea was that?” He added, “It was ridiculous.” The aide suggested that British television “might not go live with that one.” Mr. Brown responded, “They will go live.”

In response to the aide’s question, “What did she say?” Mr. Brown replied, “Oh — everything — she just was a bigoted woman.”

Before he calls her a bigot, the exchange is bad enough. Brown seems overly defensive and aggressive. It will be interesting to see how badly this hurts Labour.
