Is America's war policy being made in order to further the national interest, or is it purely political? According to South Carolina senator Lindsey Graham, it's the latter. "I would argue Iraq and Afghanistan is being run out of Chicago, not Washington, in terms of decisions," Graham said, the Hill reports, on Fox News Sunday. President Obama's reelection campaign is located in Chicago. The Hill goes on:
In a separate statement released by his Senate office, Graham reiterated his concern that President Obama is making the wrong decision in Iraq. "I respectfully disagree with President Obama," Graham said. "I feel all we have worked for, fought for, and sacrificed for is very much in jeopardy by today’s announcement. I hope I am wrong and the President is right, but I fear this decision has set in motion events that will come back to haunt our country."
