Hillary Clinton: Obama Will Sue Arizona Over Immigration Law

Via The Right Scoop, Hillary Clinton says in an interview with a TV station in Ecuador:

President Obama has spoken out against the [Arizona immigration] law because he thinks that the federal government should be determining immigration policy. And the Justice Department, under his direction, will be bringing a lawsuit against the act.

Ed Morrissey writes: "Up to now, the White House, including Barack Obama himself, has remained noncommittal about taking legal action against Arizona while continuing to criticize the bill publicly. "

Maybe this means that Eric Holder and the folks at the State Department have finally gotten around to reading the law? Nah. And I'm a bit skeptical that the Obama administration will actually follow through on this lawsuit. A new Washington Post/ABC poll out today shows that American voters support the Arizona immigration law 58% to 41%.
