The Huffington Post reports that President Obama "personally intervened" to get the Democratic platform to include pro-Israel language and to include a reference to "God."

A source informed on the deliberations told The Huffington Post that President Obama personally interevened [sic] to strenghten [sic] the language.

Considering the outcry on the floor at the convention, as party bosses rammed through the pro-Israel language and the reference to "God," the fact that Obama himself was involved in the process is likely to rankle some left-wing activists:
