Inevitable: Cosmo Asks Brown to Pose Again

You know things are looking better for the GOP when the editor of a women's magazine—a genre reliably, reflexively liberal in the little political/cultural commentary content it offers— is jumping on the publicity coattails of the newly elected Republican Senator from Massachusetts.

Cosmopolitan editor in chief Kate White took to Twitter Wednesday to invite Scott Brown, the newly elected Republican senator from Massachusetts, to pose for another centerfold in the magazine, this time as America’s Sexiest Senator. Brown posed naked in the June 1982 issue, where he was named “America’s Sexiest Man.”

White told WWD she also sent Brown a bouquet of flowers. “I was a little hesitant at first to let someone run the images. I didn’t want it to hurt him somehow,” White said. “But it was a wonderfully fun thing he did and it’s taken on a life of its own. I think it ended up helping him!”
