In today’s Wall Street Journal, Jeb Bush writes that “America could be on the threshold of its greatest century.” Why? Well, here’s one reason he gives: “Technological innovation means that in the coming decades, driverless vehicles will flawlessly move people on highways, never getting lost, never having accidents.” ![]() Alas, we already have a transportation system that moves people from place to place without their having to chart their own course, drive, or even experience the joys of occasionally getting lost.
