Biden Vacations, Obama Campaigns

Vice President Joe Biden is taking the rest of this July Fourth week off. "The Vice President and Dr. Jill Biden will be in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware," the White House announced. "The Vice President has no public events scheduled."

The Bidens will remain at Rehoboth Beach until Sunday, July 8.

While the vice president is vacationing, President Obama will be on a campaign bus tour through swing-states Ohio and Pennsylvania. More specifically, today, Obama will be in Ohio, as the White House announced:

In the morning, the President will depart Washington, DC en route Toledo, Ohio.  There will be in-town travel pool coverage of the departure from the South Lawn and arrival at Toledo Express Airport is open press. 

In Toledo, the President will deliver remarks at a campaign event at the Wolcott House Museum Complex.  The President’s remarks are open to pre-credentialed media.  

In the afternoon, the President will deliver remarks at Washington Park in Sandusky, Ohio. The President’s remarks are open to pre-credentialed media.  

In the evening, the President will deliver remarks at James Day Park in Parma, Ohio. The President’s remarks are open to pre-credentialed media.  

The President will remain overnight in Akron, Ohio.

Yesterday, Vice President Biden was at his home in Wilmington, Delaware, where he had no public events. (He earlier in the week held a couple campaign events.)

As for the president, Obama returned yesterday from a few days at Camp David to hold a naturalization ceremony at the White House and, later in the day, an Independence Day picnic with military families.
