The political action committee associated with Arkansas Democratic senator Mark Pryor received a maximum donation from Koch Industries, despite the fact that Pryor, as well as many other Democrats, has frequently criticized the influence of the Koch brothers in an attempt to raise funds.

According to the most recent FEC filing for Pryor's Priority PAC, Koch Industries Inc. PAC gave $5,000 in September 2013. View the entire filing here, and a screenshot of the donation below:

Koch Industries' PAC has been one of the top donors to Pryor's PAC for this cycle, contributing a total of $25,000 according to the Center for Responsive Politics.

In a fundraising email last month, Pryor knocked the top executives at the company, brothers Charles and David Koch, who have donated their own funds to conservative and libertarian political causes. Pryor said the Kochs have a "reckless agenda." Read the email below:

Friends,

Secretive big-donor Super PAC huddles. Tightening polls. Tom Cotton outraising us in the last quarter.

There’s no doubt that all signs point to a tough race ahead – and I’m ready to give it everything I’ve got, but I need you with me. If I don’t have the funds to compete on the airwaves, Tom Cotton’s Arkansas – where affordable college, Medicare security and equal pay take a backseat to the Koch brothers’ reckless agenda – could become reality.

It’s up to you and me to stop them.

We’ve got just 14 hours until the January fundraising deadline – if we don’t want to see the polls slide in Cotton’s direction, we’ve got to make our goal. Right now, we’re still $12,193 short. Are you with us?

Stand with us and fight for the Arkansas we love. Click here to make a donation of $5 or more to our campaign before midnight.

Tom Cotton may have the outsider billionaires, but I’m betting on you – I always have. Thank you!

Mark

Pryor is facing Republican congressman Tom Cotton in what is considered one of the hottest Senate races of the 2014 cycle.
