National Dems Abandon Kagen in WI, Cut Back on Carnahan in MO

Chris Cillizza reports: "The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee has canceled its final week of ads in Missouri and is going up with its first ads in Nevada, according to ad buyers and GOP sources," and the "Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is canceling all of its remaining ad reservations in Rep. Steve Kagen's (D-Wis.) district, according to sources." Was Kagen's campaign just hopeless, or did Stephen F. Hayes prick the conscience of the DCCC?
