The Foreign Policy Initiative announces their new Congressional Scholars Program:

The Foreign Policy Initiative (FPI) is pleased to announce that it is accepting applications for its inaugural 2012 Congressional Scholars Program. The FPI Congressional Scholars Program is designed to educate rising leaders in foreign policy and national security on Capitol Hill. By identifying and connecting young congressional staffers of both political parties who share a commitment to international engagement, support for America’s allies, expanding political and economic freedom, and a strong military, the program will foster a community of young professionals on the Hill and educate those on the frontlines of the policy making process about key foreign policy issues.

Program Description: FPI Congressional Scholars may be invited to participate in one or more weekly interactive lectures with notable foreign policy and national security experts. The program will also feature networking receptions and other opportunities that will enhance participants’ professional skills. All events will take place on Capitol Hill during July and August 2012. This program complies with House and Senate ethics rules. For more information about the program, click here.
