Reuters is reporting that Iceland has decided not to take in Edward Snowden. He is running out of options and soon, perhaps, the only one left to him will be to return to the United States and hire Ramsey Clark as his lawyer.

It must have come as a shock to Mr. Snowden to be turned down.  After all:

Chess master Bobby Fischer was granted Icelandic citizenship by parliament after he got into trouble with the United States over tax evasion and breaking sanctions by playing a match in Yugoslav.

So, out there in the big, wide world, the NSA is plainly more feared than the IRS.  And, probably, only a little less than SMERSH.
