What does a refined palate look for in a water tasting? They know the answer at:

[The] Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting competition. Judges rate municipal water and also bottled still and sparkling varieties in what is the largest water-tasting competition in the world.

The event is the biggest of its kind in the world and this will be the 23rd running. Last year's winner in the Municipal Water category was from Emporia, Kansas. Something about the water in Kansas.

One question: What do the judges use to cleanse the palate? A nice Chardonnay?
