Obama Asks for a $5 Donation

In an email to supporters, President Barack Obama is asking for cash donations to the Democratic party. 

"Daniel," Obama writes in an email. "Last night, I laid out my plan to create jobs and grow the economy -- making America a magnet for jobs, equipping every American with the skills they need for those jobs, ensuring hard work leads to a decent living, and cutting the deficit in a balanced way."

The president of the United States continues: "But we can't do it without you. Democrats are going to need your support for the many fights ahead."

And then he makes his plea: "Can I count on you? Donate $5 or more today," which is followed buy a link to the Democratic party's website.

"Together, we can do this," he ends.

It's signed with one word: "Barack."
