Obama Visit Causes Construction Workers in Ohio to Miss Work

President Obama visited Columbus, Ohio today to tout what was supposedly the "10,000th road construction project using stimulus money." CNN reports that only 58 minutes elapsed between the time Obama got off Air Force One, delivered a speech, took a tour, and got back on his plane. Why such a quick visit?
It's not entirely clear, but this local Columbus TV news report that's being highlighted by Republicans is pretty embarrassing for Obama and might have something to do with it. It turns out that a bunch of construction workers had to miss work without pay due to Obama's visit:
