Pelosi: Discussion of White House Benghazi Email Is GOP 'Subterfuge'

House minority leader Nancy Pelosi was asked Thursday about a White House email, released this week in response to a Judicial Watch FOIA request, that linked the Benghazi terrorist attack to an anti-Islam YouTube video. Pelosi said she hadn't read the email, but was certain that the discussion of it was simply a Republican "subterfuge."
"I haven't seen that, but I will say is again, diversion, subterfuge. Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi. Why aren't we talking about something else?" Pelosi said. "What I know of what I've read in the press about those emails is very consistent with what was put out there before."
During congressional testimony in April, former deputy director of the CIA Michael Morrell said that CIA analysts had not attributed the Benghazi attack to the YouTube video, as Susan Rice had done on Sunday morning talk shows following the attack. "[W]hat [Susan Rice] said about the attacks evolving spontaneously from a protest was exactly what the talking points said, and it was exactly what the intelligence community analysts believed," Morrell said. "When she talked about the video, my reaction was, that's not something that the analysts had attributed this attack to."
