Last week, Max Boot noted that Media Matters misquoted Gen. David Petraeus on Israel.

As Philip Klein reports, Media Matters and other blogs suggested that Gen. Petraeus "is increasingly concerned that failure to resolve the [Arab-Israeli] conflict, and the perception in the Arab world that the U.S. is too reflexively pro-Israel, is significantly jeopardizing U.S. objectives in the region -- and even putting American troops in greater danger." In this exchange with Klein, Petraeus sets the record straight:
