A new USA Today/Pew poll shows that American veterans strongly oppose President Obama's decision to release five Taliban commanders in exchange for U.S. soldier Bowe Bergdahl:
Via Hot Air, six soldiers who served with Bergdahl told Fox News host Megyn Kelly that they opposed the deal. "There's other ways to get him back than trading five hardcore prisoners out of Gitmo," said Matt Vierkant, the team leader of a squad in Bergdahl's platoon. "You could do missions."
"The bottom line is these guys terrorized the Afghan people. It's not like they're just terrorizing Americans," said Evan Buetow, Bergdahl's team leader. "Even if we're not in Afghanistan, they're going to go right back to Afghanistan to continue to terrorize the people who live there."
