Well, a lawyer has been deployed.

Now, for Phase 2 of the fool-proof Obama plan for everything— a speech.

In that speech, given at 1:30 p.m. today, he reiterates in one sentence that "stopping the oil spill and containing it is the top priority of the administration," before spending the entire rest of the speech bashing the out-of-power opposition.

"To be fair," he nods to "legitimate differences" between the parties about the role of government before characterizing opponents in a way that is totally unfair and allows for no legitimacy.

Meet the new campaign. Same as the old campaign.

To be fair (to borrow a phrase), the speech is ongoing, so I'll update with transcript and any indications that it turns out to be anything other than a campaign speech. Right now, the rhetoric is hot, but the audience is not. The first interruption for applause came at about 20 minutes in.
