The Problem With Mark Block's Statement Is That It Is Incorrect

Herman Cain's campaign manager Mark Block claimed last night on Sean Hannity's TV show that one of Cain's accuser's is the mother of a Politico reporter:

BLOCK: Karen Kraushaar had come out as one of the women. And we’ve come to find out her son works at Politico, the organization that originally out the story out.

HANNITY: Have you confirmed that? I've been hearing that all day, rumors about that. You've confirmed that.

BLOCK: We've confirmed it that he does indeed work at Politico, and that's his mother, yes.

The problem here is that the reporter in question, National Journal's Josh Kraushaar, is not related to Karen Kraushaar and he stopped working for Politico in 2010. Josh Kraushaar tells Dave Weigel that no one from the Cain campaign contacted him prior to Block's accusation. This is a sub-bush league gaffe.
