When Rasmussen polled South Carolina a couple days after the Iowa caucuses, Rick Santorum was trailing Mitt Romney by just three points. But the latest Rasmussen poll of South Carolina primary voters shows Santorum falling behind Newt Gingrich (the change from the Januaury 5 poll is shown in parenthesis):

Mitt Romney: 28% (+1)

Newt Gingrich: 21% (+3)

Rick Santorum: 16% (-8)

Ron Paul: 16% (+5)

Rick Perry: 6% (+1)

Jon Huntsman: 5% (+3)
