Senate majority leader Harry Reid used Twitter today to demagogue Republicans for not supporting the Democrats' latest initiative, the Paycheck Fairness Act:
In other words, because Republicans are not likely to support the Paycheck Fairness Act--they plan to vote on the bill tomorrow--Reid, a Democrat, would have you believe that Republicans are against women.
Reid's comments come years after President Barack Obama and many Democrats already claimed victory on this issue with the Lilly Ledbetter Act.
The Lilly Ledbetter Act was the first bill President Obama signed into law.
Moreover, this latest push for women voters comes just as President Obama's support from women is slipping. Republican Mitt Romney received 46 percent of support in a recent poll of registered women voters, while Obama only received 44 percent. (The same poll, taken the month before, showed Obama with a 6-point edge, 49 percent-43 percent.)
