Repeal Is Overwhelmingly Popular

The latest Rasmussen poll of likely voters shows that, by the whopping margin of 20 percentage points — 55 to 35 percent — Americans support the repeal of Obamacare.  This marks the continuation of a striking trend:  Since Memorial Day (just over six months ago), Rasmussen has taken 21 polls on Obamacare’s repeal. In all 21, repeal has won by double-digits.

When a sitting president’s signature legislation is this wildly unpopular, you can bet that the economy won’t be the only — or necessarily even the most important — issue in his reelection campaign. President Obama would like Americans to forget about Obamacare and stop thinking about its repeal. The Republican nominee’s job will be to make that impossible — and to ride Americans’ support for repeal to victory.
