Campaign spokesman Andrea Saul says, in an email to reporters, "Gov. Romney’s event today will go on as planned, and he will address the tragedy in Colorado." Romney will be speaking at Coastal Forest Products in Bow, New Hampshire. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the friends and loved ones," writes Saul. The AP reports, "A gunman wearing a gas mask set off an unknown gas and fired into a crowded movie theater in suburbanDenver theater at a midnight opening of the Batman movie "The Dark Knight Rises," killing 14 people and injuring at least 50 others, authorities said." Meanwhile, there is no indication from the White House that President Obama's schedule has change. As of last night, here's what the president, who is in Florida, had going on tonight:
Peter Baker of the New York Times comments, "So far no change in Obama campaign sked. Hard to call for American family to come together and then come out swinging as partisan again." UPDATE: From the pool reporter: "POTUS motorcade departed the Palm Beach hotel at 9:14 a.m. under sunny skies on a muggy South Florida morning. A phalanx of motorcycle police accompanied the motorcade, with a smattering of bystanders along the road. Heading to airport for trip across state to Ft. Myers, where POTUS will make public remarks on the Colo. movie theater shooting." UPDATE II: President Obama will cut his trip short, and return to Washington. From the pool report:
