Romney Aide, Reporters Clash in Poland

The incident highlighted the lingering tension between Romney and the media. Romney gave at least six interviews to TV broadcasters on the trip and two to Israeli newspapers. But reporters traveling with Romney on his 8-day excursion to London, Israel, and Poland had a chance to question him only once—when he left 10 Downing Street in London last Thursday.
When they shouted questions as Romney was leaving the unknown soldier memorial here, aide Rick Gorka intervened. "Show some respect," he yelled. "Kiss my ass. This is a holy site for the Polish people. Show some respect."
The questions were about supposed gaffes by Romney during his trip. That miscues have dominated the trip is an obsession with the reporters, starting with his comment about troubles at the Olympics in London.
Gorka later apologized for his outburst. "I lost my cool," he told Jonathan Martin of Politico. "I'm very sorry."
