The Washington Post reports that Sandra Fluke is preparing a run for Congress in California.

"Women's rights activist Sandra Fluke appears to be moving forward with a run for Congress," reports the Post

"Fluke has filed with the California state Democratic Party to seek its endorsement in the race for retiring Rep. Henry Waxman's (D-Calif.) seat, according to the state party Web site.

"A state party delegate confirmed to Post Politics that Fluke has filed and paid the fee to appear on the ballot this weekend."

TPM adds, "Fluke is listed on the California state Democratic Party's website as seeking its endorsement in the race to fill outgoing Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA)'s seat."

Fluke became famous when she was criticized by radio host Rush Limbaugh. "She rose to national attention in 2012 after testifying in a House oversight hearing on contraception coverage and being subsequently smeared by conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh," writes TPM.
