Ingraham asked, “Is [Romney] a liar? You said [his TV ads] are filled with lies. He knows what is in the ads so is he a liar?”

“You know [what a] liar means,” Santorum answered, “Has he perpetrated lies? Yes, he has. I’m not going to judge him as a person. I am going to judge what his actions are and his actions were not truthful.”

Regarding tax returns, in response to a question from Ingraham, Santorum said: “I don’t know why he isn’t releasing his tax returns, I think he should I think it is appropriate that if you are going to run for federal office that you let folks know, particularly someone with the enormity of wealth and he keeps going out there talking about how he has all this experience how he’s done all these things, and he understands how the economy, well let’s see how he managed his own economy.”

As for tonight, Santorum said he would try to correct some of the “injustices” that have been pushed by Romney—including ones about the former governor’s own record. “That Mitt Romney has not been truthful to the American public about his record,” Santorum said.
