A new poll from PPP of South Carolina Republican primary voters shows Mitt Romney with a seven-point lead over Newt Gingrich. Romney has 30 percent support of likely primary voters, compared with 23 percent for Gingrich and 19 percent for Rick Santorum. PPP also found that Romney's most dangerous challenger would be Santorum, who currently polls only 5 points behind Romney, 45-40, in a head-to-head match-up. Gingrich, in a similar match-up, would be 14 points behind Romney, 49-35.
