State Dept: 'Not Going to Put a Timeline' on 'Destroying' ISIS

State Department spokewoman Jen Psaki reiterated her boss's claim that ISIS must be "destroyed." But she wouldn't say when.
“Obviously, destroying ISIL is the goal that not just the United States but many countries around the world have,” Psaki told the Daily Beast.
As her boss, Secretary of State John Kerry, tweeted last month, “ISIL must be destroyed/will be crushed.”
Interestingly, Kerry's boss, on the other hand, suggested a different solution at a press conference earlier today. "We know that if we are joined by the international community, we can continue to shrink ISILl's sphere of influence, its effectiveness, its financing, its military capabilities to the point where it is a manageable problem," Barack Obama said in Estonia.
Which might be why the State Department spokeswoman wouldn't say when or the destruction facing ISIS might be carried out -- or even how.
“I’m not in a position to put a deadline or a timeline on that. We want to do it as quickly as possible, but we’re not naive about their capabilities, about the growth of their support, about their efforts around the world, so I’m not going to put a timeline on it,” she told the Daily Beast.
