Via William Jacobson at Legal Insurrection, a 1993 YouTube video of Harry Reid railing against birthright citizenship for illegal immigrants:

Reid sponsored legislation in 1993 to do away with birthright citizenship for the children of illegal immigrants. Reid claims that in a 2006 speech, he apologized for sponsoring this legislation. But as Jacobsen notes, "Nowhere in the transcript provided does Reid specifically mention the 1993 legislation."

Reid said last week: "I don't know how anyone of Hispanic heritage could be a Republican" because of the Republican party's opposition to illegal immigration.
