Earlier today, "President Barack Obama gave Mitt Romney a rare needling over the Republican candidate’s now infamous decision to put the family dog, Seamus, in a carrier and strap it to the roof of the car during a road trip to Canada," the Wall Street Journal reported.

But, considering his own history, it's perhaps an odd joke for Obama to make.

Here's video from 2001 of Obama reading the passage of his book where talks about eating dog meat:

“With Lolo, I learned how to eat small green chili peppers raw with dinner (plenty of rice), and, away from the dinner table, I was introduced to dog meat (tough), snake meat (tougher), and roasted grasshopper (crunchy),” Obama says in the video.
